Principal's Message

Hello Tukwila Elementary Families,
Summer is coming to a close, which means our favorite season, fall, is just around the corner! We’re thrilled to welcome you back for what promises to be an incredible new school year. As we shift our
focus toward the year ahead, we’re filled with anticipation and excitement. That said, there's still a bit of summer left, so we encourage you to soak up the sunshine and make the most of these final days as
you gear up for an inspiring start!
As we prepare for the 2025–2026 school year, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible achievements of our students and staff this past year. Our students continue to rise to the occasion, demonstrating academic excellence, positive behavioral growth, and an inspiring commitment to leadership and learning. We are proud of their accomplishments and even more excited to welcome them back and continue that momentum.
The Tukwila staff and I are energized and ready to begin a new year of growth and possibility. We remain firmly committed to the core values of PBIS: Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Safe. These principles,
along with our unwavering dedication to equity, inclusion, and student-centered support for ALL students, guide everything we do. Together, we will build a school community where every student thrives, academically, socially, and emotionally.
As Tukwila Tiger educators, we believe that academic achievement is only part of a student’s journey. Equally important is the development of strong character. That’s why we intentionally nurture values like empathy, cooperation, and responsibility, qualities that empower our students to grow not just as learners, but as thoughtful, contributing members of their community.
We proudly uphold our identity as “The Best and The Brightest.” Our strength lies in our diversity, our shared wisdom, and our unwavering dedication to excellence. Together, with families, staff, and community, we are committed to ensuring that every student is seen, supported, and set up to thrive. We look forward to building strong partnerships throughout the year ahead.
Kindergarten Families: You are welcome to walk your child to class on the First Day of School on September 3rd. Beginning the second day, all students will be walked to class by their classroom teacher to establish a routine. Thank you for supporting our school safety practices and helping us foster student independence and confidence from the very start.

Warm regards,
Hani Nur
